CTD at a specific time

Post by Winstons »

Hi guys,

I'm having a crash to desktop problem with a current game of Battle of the Bulge. At a specific point in the scenario (1:33am Day 2, to be exact), I get a crash to desktop with the following error code -

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: CmdOps.exe
Application Version: 0.0.0.0
Application Timestamp: 4ef121a3
Fault Module Name: CmdOps.exe
Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0
Fault Module Timestamp: 4ef121a3
Exception Code: c00000fd
Exception Offset: 00006073
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 2057
Additional Information 1: 7025
Additional Information 2: 702562b0d2b5ccc52cd54af937367e8e
Additional Information 3: d097
Additional Information 4: d097fc350183494b0ea28241c3e282bf

Any suggestions for what might be causing this? I can't progress past this point in time as it stands.

Cheers

I've had this occur in COTA, not in BFTB. Does it make any diff if you play fast through it, or slow (if you're on full speed when it crashes)? I seem to recall getting past the crash time by messing around like that. It's a fault, of course, so Dave will probably want your save.

Hi - no, no difference when changing the speed.

I've tried starting a new game and running it at high speed - if I do this it gets past the crash point without crashing, - the problem only occurs when I load from my latest save game. I will try and access some earlier save games to see if I can get round the problem this way.

Ok, on a whim I tried to speed past it on medium speed (rather than slow or fast), and it worked. Still happy to hand over a copy of the save for analysis though.
