Base corruption trouble

Post by erstad »

This thread has the screenshot and some additional data, but basically after running a turn I have a unit fragment "in front" of Singapore in the map view.

tm.asp?m=3198390

I ran this both under r6 and under the official r9 patch (see, I can be trained!) and it happens for both. I ran it under the current public beta and it doesn't happen on that version, but I'm reluctant to move a long-running game to a beta.

Here's the save, are there any good options?

Alternately, is this only a cosmetic issue? If I can still get to Singers via the base screen, in theory I could live with that but if something's corrupted I'm worried that it might go kablooey at some point.

The current beta would fix this issue automatically.

Any idea what risk we are running if we keep going on the official patch with this problem? If it's just an annoyance, I can live with it until the next patch comes out that will fix this. But if the database might get further corrupted and really screw things up, that would be a problem.

It tends to corrupt just the LCU unit. However, the unit generally can't be accessed as a ground unit.
It is random. You may not get it again.
