Cuttlefish might start to get more serious here. Granted the IJA suffered more casualties overall, but in number of units destroyed, the Allies had the disadvantage.

Have you thought of moving against his bases in the Solomons? It shouldn't be too hard to isolate, bomb, and then mop up.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Only Shortlands and Munda left in the Solomons, together having a garisson of not even 15,000 troops. Both bases aren't a threat but are on the list of my secondary targets (what my rgts are for). Tulagi is Japanese too, a couple of hundred men there, no airfield so those Japanese just rot there.

we drop a Marine para btn onto Madang but the initial attack fails... I really don't know if it's a bug or if it's a design flaw but no matter how many transports I am using, the paras NEVER got any supply on day one... this just sucks balls, I have used more than 100 C-47 plus another 36 USMC C-47 which is more than twice the number of transports needed to drop a para btn so more than 50% of the transports should go in carrying supplies but they simply don't do... [:@]

here's another screen showing supply development in China... as you can see within a month there were more than 100,000 tons of supply flowing to China, all coming from Burma... not only supplies but also fuel is coming from Burma as you can see... oil totals are going up and down but that's a tracker error, there are around 70k oil in China, mostly sitting in the Northern bases flowing South in numbers that are needed at the small refinery sites...

I've never paid attention to that. Now that you've seen it and bring it up, I suppose trying the amphib invasion trick is worth a try: Assign enough transports to fly the troops in, plus assign other transports to fly supplies in. I really don't know if that will work with the game engine (will the supply runs get cancelled because they go before the troops and therefore the troops are not there yet, etc.?) but it's worth a shot.

Modifiers shows no lack of supply, so it is possible, that all supply was used in assault. Have you checked what happens, when attack is made against empty base?

It doesn't look like the entire battalion dropped. The combat report shows it is a fragment.

unfortunately that doesn't work as I had that idea myselve earlier too already, if you don't have troops there already, the game will tell you something like "no friendly base or friendly troops at the base" and you can't assign the transports to fly in supplies, just to transport troops that can be air dropped. As soon as you have troops there you can assign your transports to fly in supplies but the first day your paras attack without any supplies. [:(]

I noticed it didn't show a negative modifier for supply but to be honest I don't give much about these modifiers but most often it just doesn't seem to be true anyway. Every single para drop I have done in this game so far sees my paras with no supply at all the turn after I have dropped them and I have checked it every time. And units don't use up all of their supply in one single combat round to end up with 0 supply. Having no supply at all is at least an explanation why the modified av looks horrible all the time. And like I've said before, I don't give much about the modifiers because IMO they don't work. Well, the modifiers may work well, but not the modifiers you get shown with the combat reports.

Just look at the dozens of combats where I don't get any modifiers shown in the combat report.

it was the full btn, there was nothing left back and there were far too many transport for a single btn. The reason the unit still showed up as a fragment probably is because it only turns into the parent at the end of the turn, after the combat happens, dunno.

I don't think they attack without supplies, they just don't have any supplies remaining after the attack? There is no - on supply on your side

as I`ve said a couple of posts above, I don't give much (if anything) on the modifiers shown in the combat report. Most of the time they don't make any sense. And no, I doubt they had any supply because when you think about 50 C-47 only dropping supply, this would be 150 supplies, while the normal need for a para btn is something like 50 and those 50 aren't spent in a single day of fighting but still, every frigin time when I am using paras they end up having 0!!! supplies the next turn.

as to the modifiers, I have checked the btn and the leader got 72, which is pretty much the best around. And what does the modifier say? (-) for leader. Heck, well done.

the IJAAF came back today and we had USAAF fighters patrolling over the Commonwealth troops near Moulmein... I had hopes to see more of my fighters (75 ordered to intercept), the 21 did what they could, downing enemy fighters at a 2:1 rate but only one bomber was downed in the end... usually this discourages Cuttlefish enough to stop his strikes immediately...
