What is wrong with Palembang or Northern Borneo?

Nothing I suspect, they just think eastern Borneo is next on our shopping list or will be cut off from the Home Islands soon.

Went to California Adventure yesterday. Pretty fun, but pricey. Definitely "hipper" that D'land. Cars Land has some serious set design. A TeePee motel, retro gas station etc. Music is defintely better too. Retro stuff from the 50's and 60's you never heard before. You walk from one area to another and the music changes and somehow you can't hear the music from the other area. Fantastic sound quality too. You sit down on a bench and it sounds like you have headphones on in some places.

There was a group of drummers and DI guy dressed up like "Green Army Men" from Toy Story. They guy was hilarious...he was like the DI from Full Metal Jacket without the four letter words and sexual insults and physical assualts. He walked up to a Marine in dress uniform and got in his face, "What does that say on your shirt, soldier? UUUUnited States Marien Corps..well we all make mistakes"

$7 for a Sam Adams. Not a good place for drinking.

Uggh. Two brothers lost 2 years apart. Can you imagine the grief for the parents?

Quite an interesting tale of the search to identify the pilot. Odd chap recounting the story...drinking Scotch in the bath. Don't you guys have jacuzzis?

Oz: Damaged Portland was attacked by a sub as she headed for Sydney. Usually I have ships transiting that area stay inside the barrier reef. Not sure if I erred here or a boatload of LYB's got inside the reef. At least she didnt sink outright. maybe she can put in at Rockhampton or Brisbane and patch up. Lousy escort too, but you cant cover everything.

Sub attack near Rockhampton at 98,152

Japanese Ships
SS I-175

Allied Ships
CA Portland, Torpedo hits 1, on fire, heavy damage

Derby: That LYB unit marching on Derby is identified as 5th Amphbious Brigade. They were roughed up pretty badly by air interdiction. Not sure what AV value 5th Amphbious Brigde would have but my guess they will not have "the mostest" when they cross the river and bump up against a full USMC Regt at 100% prep.

Burma: JJ goes after 77th Chindit again. We are out of replacement RAF Hurricanes. A demi-squadron of Tenth Air Force P-38's is almost ready.

So is that the preferred way of celebrating Veternarian's Day? Seems somehow connected, I guess. :)

Politically indoctrinated 11 year old: Mom, you shouldn't vote for Romney. My teacher told us he wants to take from the poor. [:@]

SG: <steam coming out of ears> Captain! Get in here and explain it to her!

FAM: Well, sweetheart, you have to consider that your teacher may have a hidden motive for telling you guys that.......<discussion of public union pensions and the stimulus package and involuntary diversion of union dues to support the machine ensues....it is a complete failure. She looks at speaker like he is from Mars....speaker decides to try a more concrete analogy>

Well, look sweetheart, you know you spent time getting all dressed up and then spent two hours going door to door on Halloween and got all that cool candy?

Politically indoctrinated 11 year old: YEAH! I got 4 full sized Snickers!

FAM: FANTASTIC! And you should be proud of your work! Now imagine that the kid next door doesn't even get dressed up or go out trick or treating but when you get home, the President GIVES half your candy to the kid next door!

Politically indoctrinated 11 year old: THAT'S NOT FAIR!

FAM: My work is done here.............

Cap ,you can't mix your Marine Regiments. I am pretty sure there is some hidden code that causes the real Marines, from the 2nd MarDiv, to refuse to work with the Hollywood Marines.

No turn yet. I did find the details of the B-17 midair in which an uncle I never knew was killed. He had just graduated high school in '43. Apparently, one of the engines sat there for 50-60 years until it gradually sunk into the soil like an iron age sword.

Protesters at Greenham Common. Not sure what they are protesting. Given the profusion of hemp-based casual wear my guess is they are not contemporaries of 8th Air Force at Greenham Common. Maybe they are protesting the Y chromsome?

To her credit Princess Anne seems to get it. A Horsa glider with 33 aboard was lost at Greenham 3 days before the B-17 crash that took 16. Sure enough, there is a monument with the names of the 16 lost on the left. Family lore is he was on a mission during the Battle of the Bulge. That would have to be mythology unless 8th Air Force knew something Eisenhower didn't (Dec 15, 1944)

Sorry for the Hijack, and i dont want to slow down the AAR, but i have a quick off subject question for all the Lawyers , Indian Chiefs, and Doctors. ( better known as Lawyers, Guns and Money).

Recent letter from my Primary Care Doc stated that he and another tickler were going to start there own clinic. To reduce overhead and costs, they would not be accepting Medicare or Medicade patients, and only a limited number of insurance companies. They are both older and have made there loot i suspect, but this seems like it will not be allowed to play through.
My questions?

Is this legal, and will our rulers allow this to become standard? How long before a law is passed stating that a Doctor must accept a percentage of medicare patients ( if not already a law)? Can the Lawyers make money from the Indian Chiefs for suing someone over this?

Unless health care providers become slaves, yes it's legal. As for rulers - what "rulers" are you talking about? We don't elect rulers in this country. We (try to) elect public servants. [8D]
