Scuttle?

This

You need minimum 90flt damage to scuttle... [;)]

81 days is a pretty long time. You can run her home and hope time does not run out (out of fuel TFs move 1 hex per phase), or try "scuttle" her by moving
into a large Japanese port with a high chance to be either sunk by ASW or mines.

I wasn't sure of the exact dmg to scuttle, but I knew it had to be damaged.

If you give it a destination, and it turns into a "cripple," the destination could change, so be careful with that. I know this will happen in patrols with waypoints, not sure about if the TF is returning to port.

If you are working with Sub AI on, make sure you do not set it to Auto-Disband when it gets to it's target port. The AI will send the sub back out if you forget to Withdraw it right away. The Sub AI should not set out Subs which are <30 days to withdrawal....maybe a nice little case to be added to the AI for next patch?? [8D]

Take control of it away from the computer and send it to your nearest fuel source. Refuel it and send it to a withdrawl port. That's what a man does. All these surrender monkeys advising you to send it on a suicide mission should be lined up and shot. With no YooHoo beforehand! [:)]

I feel you are suggesting there is no honor in boldly detecting an enemy minefield? [:-] [:D]
