2/9/42 Ise, Hyuga, Mutsu and Nagato just bombarded Port Moresby. I wonder why they did that? [&:]

There's some slackers out there. Matrix tells me I'll get a free update if I at least get 10 hits per post. I hope that no one makes unnecessary posts in order to prevent me from getting my free update. [:-]

Maybe the problem is that you and your opponent are making too many posts in your back-and-fort repartee! [;)]

About the unfortunate convoys, have you considered equipping them with detatchable tails?

Ah, then you are only familiar with part of the concept - the other part is that you only get the tail and the main part of the prey gets away. Most unsporting to grab it all![:-]

Yes, some species of lizards and some amphibian salamanders (amphibian salamanders? I may need those later) can drop their tails, but not this one. My explanation about why Gorns are without tails is honest. No cracks about us being so frightened all the time we can't grow them back! [:-] By the way, I'd like you to try that with a Komodo.

Raiden has had flag planting operations at Baker Island and Viatupu in the past two days. I expect he may well put float planes there.

Many an AFB wishes he could leave Dugout Doug behind, but the game sticks him in SWPAC HQ when it arrives. An the PP to replace him are prohibitive.

I made certain of that. I'm hoping to get Mathew Ridgeway transferred to the PTO.

I'm hoping they don't send Montgomery, he'll just get lost in a jungle somewhere, hopefully New Guinea where he'll be rescued by cannibals.

2/15/42 Raiden has captured Koumac from an Aussie brigade and is now working his way toward Noumea. His KB has momentarily left the area, so I'm guessing he won't make a second landing at Noumea.

The ships you see north of Koumak are xAKs returning to base

He's had another flag planting ceremony in the Ellice Islands. I suppose he'll put some float planes there.

I'm afraid there is going to be a lot of poor starving Japanese soldiers with those flags who will not live long enough to see them taken down, not only because I won't care about them, but he won't either. I refer you to the historical documents, if I'm not mistaken Gilligan didn't find any of them on his island. If I'm incorrect, it is only because I was paying too much attention to Mary Ann. [:'(]

Now, some of you may doubt whether I can defend Noumea successfully. I assure you I will.
