Google maps says 13 hours drive. I won't leave before noon, because I could've just taken a cheap hotel somewhere on the road otherwise as well. So getting out of the hotel, once more to the beach, maybe running a few miles once more along South Beach. So I'll leave between 11 and 12. Granting I'll mostly drive about 90 miles, It should be doable - in theory - in 12 hours. But I'll see. I won't have to return the car before next day noon, so in worst case, I can just take a hotel somewhere in South Carolina and do the rest of the trip on 22nd in the morning.ORIGINAL: bradfordkay

Miami - Raleigh is the next lap.
It's doable if you don't get unlucky with traffic. Getting out of Miami and through Jacksonville without getting stuck in backups is the key.
Of you could just take it easy and spend the night in the Palmetto State. You'll probably only find a few bugs there...
EDIT: If you're leaving on Turkey Day itself the traffic jams won't be as predictable as making sure that you miss the rush hours on workdays.

Following last nights game, every one in Chiefs nation has been calling for us to trade for Kaepernick...
I think we forgot what happened last time we traded for a backup...
$66 million later, and he's still a back up.
If you're a backup in college and a backup in the NFL....more than likely, you're still a backup.
...all morning local radio has been talking about the biggest QB controversy to hit the area in years...it would be interesting to see if Kaep could play that well in the loud Big Easy next week...

Yeah.. they looked pretty good but... it was just one game. I recall a game or two that Matt Cassel was 20/30 or so for 300+ yards and 2-3 TDs..
Life is tough. The sooner you realize that, the easier it will be.

I was at a cigar manufacture's company today. He has a cigar lounge there as well.
Over the day, the place was filled with police officers. Interesting to hear them compare who of their officers in the squad shot the most people dead, who holds the "record"...
Best part: Someone talked about a suspected cop-killer who was caught or turned himself hin, I didn't really get that part. The officer telling the story said: "Too bad we didn't get him. He wouldn't have been caught alive!"

Not really. Oh yeah they'll go ape shit if one of their own gets it. Too bad they don't do the same thing with all the other scum puppies out there.

Not that I wouldn't understand it, but the prospect of someone mistakenly being accused to have killed a cop... [X(]

Keep in mind that you are in one of the most violent metropolitan areas of the entire nation. Likely, the only place you would hear more of this type of talk would be NYC.
Why aren't you driving yet? [:D]

For the first time in years I'm using my big cooler. I filled it with water and dropped in a very frozen turkey. [:(]

Good mornin' you lot.
Very pleased to see that our Governor *didn't* pardon the turkey this year. The turkey was remanded to the custody of the farm, where it will be processed along with all the other birds raised there. Good move, gov. [8D]
