You have discovered the ultra secret 1st Independent Pitching Machine Artillery Company.  Not only are we unloading ALL our balls, we will soon be sending them to you to enlighten those beastly Aussie's and their nasty perversion of football.  (Disclaimer, I went to high school in Oz, and actually like Aussie Rules Football.)

As I'm sure you know, the Gorn calendar is somewhat different than your own. To convert, you add 32 then multiply by 5/8 then throw a dart at a Mayan calendar then remembering there are 2.5 Gorn days in a human inch worm apply Pi and there you have it!

Of course. But then let's take the 12th derivative of Gorn days & calculate the Lambda Sigma Epsilon of the cube root of New Guinea...

I had to get my slide rule out but it looks like Port Moresby is doomed!

Well, I think Raiden has run into a bit more than he expected at PM. On the other hand, thinking his CVs were distracted up there, I took the chance of trying to reinforce Noumea with a tank battalion. I knew there was a CS in the area, I think Shoho, but I thought the risk worth taking. Anyhow, when they arrived they were greeted by at least 2 CVs, I think. The entire battalion was lost. I think this calls for a drink.

The mosquitoes were getting tired of our carcasses, I'm sure they are excited about the new blood. Besides, we've been thinning it out a bit more than to their liking, if you know what I mean. [8D]

A bit more than I wanted at PM, but less than expected considering the constant convoys of akl's heading there.  Thankfully the second wave is about ready to join them.  With the release of the Philippines troops, I actually need to find gainful employment for those troops, no more frolicing in the surf a Subic. Perhaps you don't expect the level of supplies there. You can bomb there from here to kingdom come and they won't run out. While I may have lacked more troops to send, I had no shortage of bully beef.

3/2/42 Second bombardment of PM. Ouch! Has Raiden's R&D already produced proximity fuses?

Happy turkey day everyone. All I ask is that you don't deep fry me. I hate it when that happens.

3/13/42 Valorous Indian forces recaptured Cox's Bazar from some Japanese paratroops. In the process they destroyed two carriers, a battleship, and numerous cruisers and destroyers.

Image

Our troops were disgusted when they discovered that these paratroops had been eating dead fish that washed up on the shore. Raw. The remainder of his forces are skulking around in the jungle, no doubt eating snails and worms. We will deal with them shortly.

In other news, the Japanese captured Tjilijap and launched another futile assault on Singapore. A convoy has been spotted in the Solomon Sea. Perhaps it carries reinforcements to the troops stranded pitifully at Port Moresby.

You can get a copy of "Soranoshipei" which is a march (with vocals) that the Special Naval Landing Forces (paratroops) used, here:

3/15/42 Raiden is attempting to reinforce the measly number of forces he sent to PM. Here is part of the action. This is what I call marksmanship. I'm told that having Malaria is somewhat like being on LSD. I am now busy trying to obtain a supply of this substance to give to the rest of my artillery units.
