'Europe Under The Eagle': Empire101 (CP) vs AI

Post by Empire101 »

I've been meaning to start an AAR against the AI, so here it is.

After Myrddraal gave some advice about how to tackle Serbia, I started a new campaign.
I'm going all out with von Schlieffen's plan, although I've sacked von Moltke and taken personal command in the West, while the East falls under the temporary command of my wifes teddy bear, Field Marschall Erich von Kuddles.

I'm playing the campaign on balanced

Lets see how the game performs under some pressure:

The Serbian Enemy will now feel the wrath of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and starts a chain of events that will drag Europe into unimaginable horror.

Turn1:-

The Garrison in Budapest is promptly given third class railway tickets to Lemberg, whilst a Sebian Garrison is destroyed in the hex marked with an arrow. Standard opening move for AH methinks!![:)]

The garrison at Temeschburg is ordered south west next to Belgrade.

I've ordered 3 Garrison Korps, and they will be available for deployment next turn.

Turn 2

The fleet closes off the Adriatic, while one AH Army swings round to the north of Belgrade. One newly built Garrison is deployed SW of Temeschburg. No attacks, and PP's are spent bringing up the damaged units to full strength.

The other two Garrisons are placed at Kracow and next to Lemburg.

With the Russian Empire expected to support its Serbian ally, I need those troops digging entrenchments asp.

The circled unit is an important placement in my opinion, to anchor the eastern flank in Galacia.
If nothing is done here early on, the Russians could exploit this dangerous gap.

In the West, Antwerp falls. Thats one ally done for.[:)]

Calais is cut off and reduced to ruins but the French hang on...curse them!![:)]
But it cannot be reinforced. Good.

The unit North of Verdun gets hit, but nothing that can't be handled.
There are now no strategic reserves left. All are committed to the Schlieffen plan. I need to get a unit into Strasbourg pronto.

The German Army continues its sweep into France.

Turn7:-

A regular Army unit takes up residence in Lemburg, making it safer.
The Russians continue their operation to take Lemburg, and severely maul another load of reserves, forcing them to retreat again. Ouch![X(]

In the north, Prussia prepares for the onslaught.
