When mine sweepers are sent to a specific hex, they try to sweep mines in the surrounding hexes as well. I am not sure if it works the same way when you set a Patrol for them.
Thanks for your input. No I mean it. You might think, given that I'm down to my last undamaged DMS boat that I might be sarcastic, but
no it's tips like this that help us new guys along.

EDIT: And thanks for your efforts on intel Monkey too. My best wishes are moving your way.

Coastal minesweepers (AMc type ships) sweep just one hex. Bigger minesweepers (DMS, AM) sweep adjacent hexes too. Better to remember that when operating minesweepers near enemy's coastal guns.

Thanks for your post. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Don't let your DMS-etc. boats react into enemy coastal guns.
Just letting them react.....I lose more boats that way......

EDIT: I've got the 4th / B Div loading on boats in the Oosthaven port even though there's an Allied sub in the same hex w/ me. Is that
relatively risky? I'm thinking maybe. I want to move it to northern Java ASAP and now's as good a time as any I guess.

I've got some relatively big guns pulling into Kwajalein to refit, rearm, refuel, and then I'm going to recommitt them.

I'm seeing the CM ship type in amongst the other ship types in the Allied lists but I'm thinking I'm seeing another Jap sub already in the
Diego Garcia hex so maybe there's not a working minefield in that hex yet. So I'm going to move another sub into the DG hex to try to see if I can bag some kind of big ship. I'd even be happy with a CM right now.

Here's the situation around Gasmata: I've landed the 1st China Assault Div and chased off the Allied unit that was here and captured
the base......now I want to use the 1st China Assault Div at Port Moresby. Taking them to PM would leave just an AA unit and a light
naval guard unit AV=13 or something pitiful like that. Jim has a wounded unit in the jungle adjacent to Gasmata and he could come
calling again w/ it and I'd hate to lose Gasmata again so I'm thinking about fragmenting the 1st China Assault Div. Probably not a good
idea to do that though. I need all able hands at PM right now.

TF 488 is taking an Emily unit ( 2 planes, 2 pilots ) to Marcus Island. They will take up a naval search program there to help sound the
alarm if any Allied ships attempt to penetrate our perimeter. The Emily can really reach out there so the search arc fan will be large. I'll
post a picture of it when it's built. You'll like it. There's only two planes and 2 pilots but I'm thinking I can get maybe 40% out of them
before fatigue sets in.

I need to replace I-15 w/ a sub that has a float plane so I can get some decent recon of Midway. I-15 is telling me Midway is still there
but not much else. I'm pretty sure there is an LCU there and maybe some planes. And I could have sworn that there was a ship parked
in the shipyard but I don't know if it's docked or not. None of that is coming from I-15 so I need a different sub.

I've got TF 524 ready for a bombardment tonight on Port Moresby. I'm not really sure I should be bombarding right when I should be
looking for Jim's ships but it seemed like a good idea at the time. We'll see what the result is:

I've got three of my biggest carriers ready to the west of Tulagi. I'm thinking of moving them slowly toward Port Moresby as the anvil of
this hammer and anvil type action that's going down.

There's not so much Tokyo traffic as there was in previous turns. That tells me that the first wave has launched already and the pipeline
is filling with supplies and fuel. The second wave is loading up now. Lots of supplies going out I see and some small globs of fuel. There
doesn't seem to be a huge backlog in the loading process now that I've changed it up. I'm unloading in Yokohama and loading in Tokyo.
So there's less shipyard traffic in Tokyo and slightly more in Yokahama. Um.......I'm wondering if it's possible to build a chain of fueling
places enough to use the smaller-ranged AK's to move goodies out of Tokyo. So far I'm using the 8K+ endurance range ships to do the
Tokyo runs. And it seems to be working so far. I'm just thinking that if I ever get everybody perfectly fueled and supplied what do I do
with the ship I used to do that with. The smaller-ranged ships could work maybe from one island in the chain to another and with a set of
them from island to island I could move some goodies. More loading and unloading but it still gets there is the point. And I could use the
ships that would perhaps ordinarily sit parked, empty, in some backwater port somewhere. Someplace that doesn't have a decent bar
ashore. The point is that there is lots to do and everybody should be doing something.

The commander of I-25 volunteered himself and his crew to go recon Midway w/ a search plane. He's already got the float plane headed
in the correct direction. Maybe we'll have some better recon in the coming days.

Bubble Drop is up to 116K+ in fuel and can therefore spare some for Truk which is ONLY at 54K right now. So I'm sending at 13K blob
of it to Truk from Bubble Drop. Well, actually it's from Tokyo but Bubble signed for it only to release it to Truk. The bill still lends up in
Tokyo. And it's paid for. Sometime in 1944 I'm guessing, I'll have to use I-O-U's for payment but they may not take them. D'oh.

That Tracker Alert about DMS W-7 being sunk reminded me that I'm now down to only a single undamaged DMS ship and that it's
going to be July42 and August42 before I get some more DMS ships. D'oh.

So um.....here's the resources history. It's worth mentioning that this is the first time we've broken down to less than 1 Meg in fuel in the
Jap home islands. There's enough fuel for maybe another 100 days. Then it's whatever we can refine and bring from captured sources.

There were several sub attacks most of which hits were not scored by either side and then there's this night-time bombardment by the
Jap big guns at Port Moresby. I lucked out and got my spotters to spot and everything.
