Lockup after loading saved game

After reloading the save three times in a row, trying some naval tactics, the third time it locked up tight. Here is the save.

Windows 7 64 bit SP 1 Build 7601
8 gig ram
Intel i7 960 @3.20GHz, 4 core, 8 Logical Processors
ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series

I wasn't able to reproduce this from the savegame. Is this the AutoSaveEndTurn savegame (which is automatically saved on end turn)?

No, it's a save I made. I had loaded it three times just after doing some naval warfare. I did not like the outcome, and I was trying to figure out how things worked, so I kept loading that save back in. The third time and it just froze solid.

On the off-chance that you haven't restarted the game since it crashed, could you:
a) upload the AutoSaveEndTurn savegame and
a) grab this file for me and upload it?

I just came back from running it for the first time since it crashed. [:(] I wanted to reload that save several times to see if it would lockup again. Sorry I didn't wait a few minutes longer. Dang...

It did not lockup even reloading six times. [&:]

The times of files show that nothing got altered when I went back in and played again. Probably because I never ended a turn and just kept reloading. So here is the AutoSaveEndTurn.

I'm not sure I've necessarily understood what happened. Did it freeze on loading the game?

It froze while playing, after I had loaded the save for the third time.

But you're now able to load the same save and play on?

Yes, no problems, and I can't make it lockup again. I have reloaded up to six times and it won't do it again.

This one may have to remain a mystery. I'm afraid I can't reproduce it either. If it happens again, if you could grab the log file before it gets overwritten that would be great. Otherwise, at least it hasn't stopped you playing your game!

The file is ctgw.log, and it's found in \Documents\My Games\Commander The Great War\

It gets overwritten each time you load the game.
