1st Patch

Post by warspite1 »

Just out of curiosity, when are we likely to see a 1st update, and what is it likely to feature?

Thanks.

I am gonna come in here with a more robust AI difficulty control. I would like some fine tuning for the AI with sliders to allow additional PP production... combat bonuses etc. Right now the stock normal difficulty with its rater large PP boost isn't making for a nice single player experience IMHO.

Better convoy placement at least for the germans.. but the British and French would be good also.

UNDO!

And we do need that undo button....not to explore unfairly but to correct twitchy mouse clicking fingers in the youthfully challenged. Was the victim of the premature click twice this afternoon.

The "option" to manually control of convoys restored is on it as well I hope.

You can up your PP production by going into the DATA folder and then the CONSTRUCTIONS folder... there you will find each city with its PP level that you can adjust.

This is not set in stone but we are trying to get a patch done by early December. It should contain the difficulty fix (obviously), undo option, MP data checking and perhaps unit experience (if we can balance the effect within that short time period).

And probably some other stuff, but those things will get priority.

Great!! It really needs an undo button in my opinion.

Excellent thanks. Apart from the undo button, the two I would like to see are - manual convoy routing and Russian colour scheme.

Russian colour scheme

Ah yes of course. If you wanna change it yourself for now, open data\factions.lua in a text editor and change the "color" values for Russia {red, green, blue} and/or Germany.

As well as an Undo button, how about a reminder to actually do the Production Phase please?

I just lost to Aryaman because I forgot to do a whole Allied production phase. In the early war when you need units to stop the advancing enemy, that's not a sensible thing!

Well played Aryaman - sorry the game was cut short.

How would that work? Warn player when he has enough resources to build any unit (= garrison, cheapest)? That might be more annoying than useful?

No - not that specific. In the same way that there is a reminder for unmoved transports or unmoved units, a similar pop-up if nothing has been put on the production track.

It might be enough to warn if production screen has not been opened during the turn?

I guess you wouldn't want the reminder if you didn't have enough PPs to buy anything though. I think perhaps a reminder for undeployed units might be useful.

Yes this would be great, sometimes when you are cut in the middle of a turn you forget to deploy after checking if everybody moved and then it's drama :D

Also, check and fix the "page up" "page down" button which is supposed to cycle through the unmoved units during a turn. On some of our computers this is not working. Is this Windows 8 related perhaps?

Convoy routing is a problem. Please can we have an option to manually control?
