Windows 8: Problem with register of system

When I install a message appears with an error log, see

[Fishers of Men]

This error might be a result of installing these lower versions of .NET Framework and DirectX drivers to Windows 8. I don't have Windows 8 ,but I believe that it uses DirectX 11 drivers. You should have unchecked those additional files boxes on this screen. This is just a guess, though.

Don't know if this will help but Distant Worlds installs/works fine for me under Windows 8, but I had a very similar issue when trying to install an expansion to a game (Hearts of Iron 3) after upgrading to W8.

What worked for me in that case was to uninstall the game + expansions, use regedit to manually delete all registry entries for the game the uninstaller may have missed, reboot, then reinstall the game + expansions.
