DLC maps available in Quick Battle?

Achtung Panzer:Operation Star is an Eastern Front wargame with solid graphics and sprawling battlefields that really emphasize the scope of WWII tank combat. The gameplay is a remarkably realistic turn-based and real-time operational/tactical hybrid wargame that continues the series begun by the acclaimed Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943.

DLC maps available in Quick Battle?

Post by mbar »

I'm looking at picking up the DLC now.

Are the DLC maps available in the Quick Battle setup?

I understand that DLC units are not available in Quick Battle without a mod.

Thanks for answering!

Just checked my quick battle setup screen and the dlc battle areas are available.
Dane plays alot of quick battles, he probably will know more about units and any mods you need to use them. He checks the forum often.

Thank you **budd**! I patched up to v5.81 and the process seemed straight forward enough that now I'm more comfortable with the idea of adding the DLC files too.

Thank you for the quick answer!

Everything in the DLCs you own will be available for quick battles,You will have to do some adjustments to the parameters in the quick battles but the QB(Quick Battles) options menu are self explanatory.

You have to do some digging around in the force pool to locate where everything is and some units will not let you swap squads for units not inherent to its Div. type. For example:If I chose an Infantry platoon from an Infantry division,I will not be able to trade out squads for tanks since tanks are only in Tank divs or mech divs.Though some SPGs may be available to the Inf. platoon.

It's a good idea to do some testing with all the different platoons to see what you can swap in those units to customize your quick battles.

Next patch will be offering even more options to the QB menu also.

The only mod available for QBs is Night Postmans uniform mod.I highly recommend it for the QBs.JMass used to have a mod that made customizing your force mix a little easier but it doesn't work with the new August updates.

Yea that game will be on my hardrive for a long time. If you have any questions about the game just post in that forum and Joe98 will probably answer, he probably knows the game best. I have alot of scenarios I haven't played yet in that game and will circle around to it again thats for sure. If you get the feeling throw out an AAR's in the combat command forum i'd enjoy reading it. Try the carentan scenario, one of my favorites.
