Entrenchment Issue

Entrenchment Issue

I have been playing this game quite a bit. I am in the Malta scenario for Afrika Korps and the one thing that is bothersome is the issue of entrenchment. I knock the entrenchment of a unit down to zero, attack, unit still present but the next turn the entrenchment is at level 3. I really think it shouldn't go back to level 3.
