suggestions for shadows

Please make it so that you can select more than one set of troops at a time.

Disbanding troops across 40 colonies by the hundreds is a slit your wrist pain.

Second, please add a command button in the bottom left to view cargo of ship/freighter/base

So we dont have to go to the ships/bases screen and select the particular subject and check its cargo.

This could be done in the left bottom corner VDU. You know where you click on a new object like a space port? And it has a hammer icon which if you click you can select to build a ship?

Thats what I mean by the command menu, the grey boxes to the bottom below the ship picture in the bottom left corner.

Put a view cargo button there, and list the contents in that window.

Id like to propose a hyper interrupt base. Basically this base could be positioned at various strategic points surrounding your empire. Similar but different to the hyper deny, this BRINGS you out of war.

I find it kind of terrible that, one enemy ship can destroy your stuff before you have a chance to respond. You either need to keep 10 ships in each system for defense or you could have something like this.

The bases are placed and have an area of effectiveness, research improves range of effectivess, but they could be expensive to build/maintain and available at midpoint up the high tech tree.

that kind of shows what I mean. what you guys think?

There already is a gravity well projector or somesuch in the game, albeit it has a smaller range than what you ask for (comparable to the radius of a star) [:)]

might also be time to give a right click nested menu for ships. Right now if I want to get a specific ship to patrol a specific system. I either scroll through my list of military ships, find the one I want, then zoom out all the way to see the galaxy map. Zoom in at the system I want patrolled by that specific ship and right click on the sun.

If I could right click on the ship, navigate a nested menu and instruct it to patrol where I wanted.

The menu could look something like 5 basic commands. To keep it simple.

So right click brings up:

patrol
attack
refuel/repair
retire

then nested in those menus, like patrol would be colonies, bases, systems, then you click which one you want.

Currently I know of no way to select a ship and send it to patrol somewhere specific, other than to right click on the system you want patrolled, which means you have to have it in view.

People say DW:L interface is miles ahead of DW, boy would I hate to have seen DW. Cause this interface is 5/10. This and the engine are major downers for me, but the game is just so good :P

If you have any idea of where most colonies/bases are from name alone, you are way ahead of me in that department. Names mean nothing :)

1: Locate your ship
2: Locate whatever to protect. Select it, click the selection window to center view, zoom in.
3: Use the back buttons (above the selection window) to select the ship again).
4: Right click the target and give the ship its order.
