The Catalina unit at Sorong is down to one working Cat and needed some aviation support so I parked an AVD there to service them.
The unit is keeping an eye on Bubble Drop for me. Lots of invasions will come out of there I predict. I'm thinking that the actions I'm
taking are keeping the Japs having to really work for their invasions. I've sunk a lot of ships already and I'm guessing I'll sink a lot more.

TF 110's original course was right across the top of a Jap sub to get to Pearl but I've given it a waypoint so as to try to thread the TF
through the gap between TWO Jap subs. What are the odds that one or more of them will react? Should I loiter somewhere until the
subs go away? Should I ignore the subs just because TF 110 has an escort? Enquiring minds want to know.

A lot of the fuel and supplies that are getting shipped to Oz is coming from Bombay. I'm shipping it from Bombay to Colombo and thence
to Perth. So there's two separate routes to service, one for the short-legged ships from Bombay to Colombo, and one for the world-class
ships: Colombo to Perth. The ships that I sent to Cape Town haven't landed there yet, it's only been 10 days at best for some of those
ships and those that started at Cape Town and are headed for Diego Garcia haven't landed there yet either so it's in the pipeline but
hasn't been born yet.

Catalina's working out of Midway picked up a Japanese TF about 480 nautical miles NW of Midway headed east and I've got traffic going
to Midway that could be effected. I'm wondering if I should start re-routing inbound traffic already. Probably. I suppose I should send
somebody up there to check it out.

I've set his destination as Midway but the home port to Pearl as a note to me to send him to Pearl after he's done with his Midway mission.

I've got some PT boats that I'm saving for a rainy day. Between Cam Ranh Bay and Manila there's all kinds of Jap ship traffic and some
of it is probably headed for the PI. If I can find a juicy target like just AK's or better yet some AP's or maybe a mixture of the two then I can
unleash my PT boats and thrash them severly about the head and shoulders.

I'm installing the Sparrow Bn on Babar even as the Jap TF's approach the east coast of Dutch New Guinea. They, the Japs, will probably
have some air power in this area in a couple of days time.......I'm getting Sparrow settled just in time. Babar is going to need some
engineers to help build the airfield up and expand the port. I wonder if there are any engineers in Oz that aren't doing anything important
right now. I'll look around and get back to you.

As someone yet to start my first general campaign, I'm lapping up every AAR versus the AI.

Just trying to get my head round the logisitics and troop movments needed in the intial game.

Hey there catwhoorg dude. Do yourself a favor and play a human instead of playing the AI. Somebody who doesn't mind showing you the ropes and maybe a couple of restarts. Those kind of opponents are rare though. I wish I had one like that when I started my first
campaign game. I'm just playing the AI because I want to have something to do while I wait for Jim to return his moves.

Thats good advice, but with my current work and home life schedule and completely erratic gaming schedule as a consequence, any RL opponent would have to be a saint.

I'm not looking to put someon through that until I have at least an idea of how to play.

Jim Moore and I are relatively new and thought we'd play a friendly game and just for fun instead of cut throat and it's really fun. Maybe
if you advertise ( post something in the opponents wanted ) you'd find somebody willing to work w/ your schedule and so on. It's a
committlemt of course though, something not too many people are willing to stick it out for years. Maybe you guys could switch sides
during play or something to keep it fresh for you.

I don't remember how the SS Republic got damaged, a torpedo or something. Anyway, it's still on fire and I've read in other AAR's that
if you leave it as a TF and dock it sometimes the fire goes out when, if you leave it disbanded while on fire sometimes the fire doesn't
go out. So.....

I was doing my moving of TF's and just now noticed a Jap TF moving NW across my shipping lanes and I seem to remember a group of
Jap AMC's doing that so I guess I'll have to route my ships away from it and maybe put together a welcoming party for them.

TF 286 is a 73K block of fuel finally reaching Pearl from SFO. So more supplies and fuel will start arriving at Pearl within days and then in
about a week or so they should reach Oz.
