No sound in windows 7 after latest update

Hi All

Having real issue with APOS with the updates.

The update part is ok and works fine but no sound at all.

I have the Matrix Version at 577 and with out update sound works fine.
When I upgrade to latest update (581?) with the ext no sound at all.
My PC is running windows 7 Ultimate. Have tried compatiblity mode, run as admin everything I can think of.

The start menu icon brings up the obligitary Matrix menu.....play, view editor.....etc etc and when passing the mouse over the various options I get the click to select.

Select Play and the Graviteam splash comes up but no music......then the game starts and on the main menu of the game there are no bloops that you normally get when hovering over the menu options.

Without the the update tall sounds are there!

I have an XP SP3 PC (at my girlfriends......don't ask!) that runs the game no prob at all with sound after update.

Please help.......any advice much appreciated!
