A question about the above turn 51 map of AGS. Why would the Germans leave single divisions adjacent to 2 hexes stacked with Soviets ??? They will get killed !!! Most Mp's would have been expended by the Germans in major attacks, so the likelihood of reserve activation or activation by a strong unit would be less. It seems to be a major no no. ????

When I calculate losses at the end of turn I arrive at different numbers. For example on the turn above I lost 334 tanks and you lost 348 (a rare occurence). In planes it was usual: 330 vs 99.

I have posted a PDF a few posts ago with detailed losses. I calculate them at the end of turn (so after your and mine movement and combat) and arrive at those numbers by substracting last turn permanent total losses from current turn permanent total losses. This is the accurate loss number, I think (one that does not take reinforcements and replacements into account, as you would have when calculating from OOB changes). The current turn losses column is not very good as it resets too many times during a turn.

What is your nightmare in the previous post?

For your entertainment: your busy bees (recon planes) killed Bryansk Front commander, Meretskov. I have new idea for cheaply changing bad leaders, I will move their HQs close to the front, so they can be killed :-)

Only Kerch is "locked", not the entire Crimea :) Perhaps the only place a pair of rifle corps is useful in 1942 (IMHO).

- To give Russians someone to beat...
