Battle of the bulge on iPad

Post by rodney727 »

For those of you who have iPads ... The battle of the bulge has been released and it is awesome . Pocket tactics has given it a 5/5 rating. It is hailed as the first true in depth wargame on a tablet. It's what I have been waiting for. While I am a huge matrix games fan I feel they have really missed the boat on this one. While I will purchase every matrix game they release for the iPad I will also buy games that advance the tablet industry . The AI is far better in this game than any other I have seen in war gaming on any tablets.

Hi lutz it's in the American App Store . Shenandoah studios is the publisher. Their next game is El Alamein . It is 9.99 US dollars. You can play as the Germans or the Americans. Needless to say the Germans are a much harder to play ....

The graphics exceed that of time of fury. And the AI is much better than that game also. It looks outstanding on the iPad 2. I can only imagine what it would look like on the iPad 3. Why oh why matrix games wouldn't want to put as many games on the App Store is almost beyond comprehension . Open their games up to fifty millions potential customers....

It is very good. Reminds me of the Korsun Pocket series of games.

Will buy it, once it's available in our AppStore. There is already a German complaint thread at Shenandoah forums.

I think its also worth noting the person behind the game is ERIC LEE SMITH. Of not just SPI fame, but more importantly Victory Games..a division of the former Avalon Hill Game Company.

His Credits include:
Ambush!
The Civil War
Mosby's Raiders
And some other stuff like Across 5 Aprils

I did not know that thanks for the info. I play this game more now because I can take it with me. Have stopped playing commander the Great War and panzer korps 44 bc I can take this game with me. I can't wait for other titles that come out. I have heard eastern front is in the works.
