The first attack did not occur until the afternoon (I was surprised) and my strike came first (never had that happen before).

Not one torpedo hit.

As usual, the first victim's strike had already launched.

Nice job by the lizards hitting KB in bad weather off Noumea.  Midway!  My only complaint is the piss poor performance of the kates and vals, hardly scoring any hits, while being the absolute best pilots in the IJN.  So goes the RNG.[:@]

I'm not sure what to say about it other than I think Wildcats are generally underrated in my view, perhaps the best allied fighter at the start. This is my third PBEM carrier battle in addition to numerous ones against the AI, and I've not lost one yet or even come close to a tie. I don't know what to make of it, although it does seem the weather always intervenes in my behalf. May it always be so.

What!?? No house rule about Gorns controlling the weather? Serious oversight by the Japanese when the rules of war were being negotiated!
BTW - can you do something about the deep freeze that has settled in over central Canada? Not looking for a big thaw or anything, just take away that minus 35ºC wind chill stuff.
Also BTW - good job on KB! Be careful of vengeful subs and SCTFs if you pursue cripples.

5/4/42 Image Here is the situation on the morning of the next day. Zuikaku is attempting to escape, tough old bird.

By the way, I took BBFanboys advice, passed through Noumea to the east side of New Caledonia and up, just in case he ordered Kongo and Haruna to try and find me at night.

Next, my attack on the ships at Koumac. If they don't sink, they'll never leave there.

Image I have just received a rebuke from the Imperator Iguanidae, one of the greatest potentates in the galaxy.

Notice the large crest on his head? Mine gets like that too, but we Gorns only display like that during intercourse. That's why I had to crop the picture.

In case any of you have missed one of my greatest triumphs, feast your eyes on this.

Did I say triumph? Oops, wrong film. In this one I ran out of sorties due to an insufficient supply of styrofoam boulders. [:@]

Here's part of an uncensored version.

5/5/42 Image The 27th ID is now unloading at the friendly port of Noumea. They have been looking forward to some fun on the sunny beaches there. Unfortunately, they are finding crowds of some rather rude Japanese tourists. Worse still, they're all male. Well, they'll just have to make do. [;)]

Everything associated with humans slows down a bit at Christmas (except the Credit Card charges). Even the wyrmm's heathen hoard will get a little extra seaweed in their rice balls to lend some colour to the season! Merry Christmas to you both!

Thank you, and to you Merry Christmas. May Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikito bring Amaterasu to Raiden. At this time of year we pagans worship first and foremost the Antelope God who appears on the bluff above the river, beyond our reach. We celebrate this occasion by sharing a crocodile hunter, much in the style of Raiden, raw.

Some of you may be wondering how you tell a female Gorn from a male. We don't actually know either, but if you lay eggs, you're a girl. We Gorn only have one all-purpose lower orifice (it's more efficient) and both sexes have a protuberance that swells when excited. Only the male protuberances have these frills that appear and swell out when they are really excited, unfortunately causing difficulty with withdrawal. I had that happen to me once in an awful situation involving a rhinocerus. [:-]
