How to locate objectives on map

Post by Rosseau »

Other than randomly mousing over the map to find objectives and having a tool tip come up, is there a way to see objective hexes labeled on the map in some way? I'm sure I'm missing something here. Thanks!

In the right panel in game, there's a button for this.

It's the "50" button, next to the "HQ" one.

You can set objective labels "floating", "not floating" and "invisible".

Hope it helps.

If you want to tell me which scenario, I'll take a dump of it and print out the objectives for you. If you want to take your own dump, open the scenario in the editor, go to 'File>Dump Scenario As' and save it as a .txt file. Open the file and 'Ctrl+F', type in 'Valued Objectives' and hit enter. This will bring you to a list of Objectives.

Huge help. Thanks guys. I am playing the Vietnam War series by Boonierat, and couldn't find the reference to 50 in the manual. I probably should have started with a smaller battle [;)]

Alternatively, use Andy's Scenario Viewer, Msr Rosseau!

I didn't know about the viewer, thanks. I am using I think Andy's editor, which is a lot of fun. It will be a long time before I tire of this game. [:)]
