Has Great Naval Battles been updated for Win 9X

I found out that Harpoon 3 is being released soon for win 9X. Matrix did a fantastic job on Steel Panthers. Any thoughts on Matrix doing a re-do of GNB? Or has anyone else heard of it being re done?

Don't know about GNB, but check out "Raider Operations," a soon to be released strategic and tactical surface naval combat game, covering the Russo-Japanese War and the World Wars. It doesn't look like there will be aircraft in the initial release, but lots of WWI business; apparently the engine can handle the entire Battle of Jutland, all 200+ ships. It looks like, like GNB, the strategic and tactical will be seamlessly integrated in a "real time" (but pausable) game, but this should be more stable and more realistic, and the AI is reputedly excellent. (The massive size of the engagements and the capable AI is possible, apparently, because the graphics are quite primitive.) My only real gripe (besides the lack of aircraft, which may be added later on) is that the game will lack a save feature. I don't know about other people, but I have a girlfriend, a telephone, etc., and a save feature is thus very important.
