How to load land based air units onto ships?

I received War in the Pacific AE for Christmas and I am thoroughly enjoying this game. It presents a true challenge in the strategic game world. However I cannot figure out how to load land based air units onto my ships? If anyone has any information or suggestions, please reply to this post.

Basics for non-carrier TFs
Form a transport TF in port with some cargo type ships.
Press the button for 'Load troops..'
A list of loadable items will appear of which there may be some groups.
Click on the group to load.

1. only one group can be loaded per ship which has cargo space (eg AK-types)
2. group can't belong to restricted HQ (R)

The TF also needs to be docked. It will dock automatically when you go to load troops as long as there is sufficient space on the docks to fit the TF.
