Please note that in Europe (especially Mediterranean Europe: Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece etc.) it is quite common for families to stay together for good (i.e. several generations under one roof)!
In my country this is also the case - we usually own the places we live in (i.e. there are very very few that rent apartments - that is very expensive and not worth it in the long run) so families tend to stay together. About 10 years ago there was a trend that new young families try to go away from parents and buy new apartments with cheap credits / mortgages but this turned out to be very very bad decision because of market crash and crisis after 2007... lots and lots of brand new unsold apartments and houses that are empty and inhabited...

Not in my part of the world it isn't. Get out and stay out is a more traditional thing [:D] My parents even changed the locks. My youngest brother was pleased when I joined the RAF because he had his eye on my room as well. [8|]
My in-laws went off to Scotland for Christmas, so Christmas day was just myself, Clare and Josh (with special guest appearance from BC).

That is rather interesting. There could be worse things than living with family I guess...I can't think of it right now, but..[:)]

Have to say I envy you guys. Lamb is right on the top of my list of wonderful eats, right behind fresh shot pheasant, duck or quail. But good lamb is hard to get in the States. I looooove lamb! I even like mutton. Lamb is my all-time favorite. Probably from hanging out with you guys and the Aussies.
Anyway, here's a shot of beaners. I'm not all that much of a traditionalist, 'cause I use green peppers, garlic, thyme and cardomom.
Not familiar with 'marrow'. Kown what it is, but don't know how people use it. Your pic shows something like a nice pie or quiche. I'm utterly clueless, so would Ms DivePac be willing to pm me a recipe?
