Anti-tank brigrades

I can see a point as Russian to use the existing anti-tank brigades to help stop German attacks in the terrible time of summer 1941, but is there any use for them after the Russians begin to attack in Winter 1941?
I can only conclude they are useless in the offensive and want to disband all of them?
Any comments?

Disbanding is a bit wasteful - you will need cheap units that project zoc during the slightly less terrible than the previous summer of '42 as well. [;)]

During the offensive, they can be used to prevent fort decay.

They can also help to batter Axis forts...and be placed on defensive or offensive reserve mode...
