Started a new job last week and they gave me a nice widescreen i5 laptop with 8GB of RAM. They also gave me ,local admin rights but wasn't told don't install anything on it but you can put movies and music on it.

Finally I have a laptop that will run Civ 5 and the new XCom game. I'm in the office maybe 1 day a week and the laptop isn't audited.

Wasn't the Sumatra operation supposed to be at Padang? That's not far from Benkolen. Or was that called off in favor of the sprint through the Philippines?

The LYB ships were actually at Padang. ALSP had decided on Benkolen, I think because it was closer to Palembang. JJ are taking inventory of their defenses and reinforcing where they see vulnerability. They saw vulnerability in Western Sumatra and at Taytay, both were good guesses. Lunga or the Marshalls not so much. Not really surprising because we are TRYING to suggest an attack on Hollandia and Palau...and somewhat less convincingly (with one DD, a squadron of SBD's a squadron of P-43's and a regiment of Marines) in the Solomons/Marshalls.

Now, if we suddenly detect 16 in shore guns being installed on Ramree Is then somebody has some 'splaining to do.

Somewhat pathetically, I watched "Tomorrow, When the War Began" while I was trying to figure out where all the unit fragments are in the Greater, Medium and Lesser Sundas, Molluccas and the Phillipines. I wonder what the record is for number of unit fragments.

I never quite figured out where Wirrawee was but the teens who live there take up arms to fight an invading force with decidedly asiatic features. Everything is green and there are free-flowing streams without crocodires and there is a bridge that goes to Port Hedrand that the evil invading force is using to reinforce its position.

As far as I could work out there doesn't seem much worth capturing in Wirrawee but the girls are pretty damn cute.

I give it 3 stars out of 5, mostly for the cute girls. I deducted a star because they writer made me feel stupid for trying to find out where Wirrawee was.

LYB carriers appear to be retreating to NW, Indochina maybe. Still, Rord Admirar Fabertong is famous for the Jimmy-leg doubleback move so the CAP stays airborne at San Jose, Jolo, Cagayan and Cotobato. Defintiely at least 2 carriers from the number of aircraft.

San Jose: USS Denver will likely survive after her THREE torp hits but at 85% flooding she has to stay at San Jose. Not exactly a safe place. One severely damaged AP unloding at San Jose sunk but it appears the troops got off safely. Marine Raider Bn flying in from Cagayan in case JJ tries to walk in from their other base on Panay.

Jolo: Now completely repaired and can start building up the current level 3 airfield. Many fighters and some SBD's.

Taytay: LYB troops on Taytay must be badly disrupted as they are unable to inflict any causalties by bombardment.

Mindanao: 2 regiments of infantry and some arty closing on Davao. We should be rid of the Little Yellow Bastards in 2-3 days.

San Jose: Somehow, Haruna sneaks past the PBY's operating from San Jose. The covering DD's have already left to make mischief at Leyte. USS Denver is still at anchor at San Jose. She seems not to have been hit. The same can not be said for the aircraft, many of which seem to be multiplying as there are more damaged planes than there were ashore at the start of the bombardment. The PT crews seem to have taken the night off.
