And here's how it went on the ground at Manila. Jim's defenders are starting to give way.

Sampit is looking like it's going to go into a drama stage soon. Jim has some LCU's seemingly headed for Sampit and I'm thinking he
thinks he can take it back or something. So I've got the 48th Recon Rgt headed for Sampit and they are only a couple of days away.
I think w/ the addition of the additional troops maybe I can hold Sampit for a while. I'm looking into getting some Lilly's or similar to do
some ground pounding of these two Allied LCU's. Maybe that will help.

Here's a Tracker report on the resource history of the Japanese Home Islands. Supplies are somewhat stable but everything else is in
freefall. It's not looking good yet because the loads of resources and oil hasn't yet arrived from the outlaying spots. But on the other
hand, I've been getting a steady stream of resources from Hokkaido and Shikuka without interruption since the beginning of the game
and the levels in the H.I. is still in free fall. Maybe this is a harbenger of what lies ahead. Not a good omen. Maybe I should start the
negotiations for peace. Nah, there's more war to be waged yet.

RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 30Mar42
I've been using TF 23 to do the naval bombardment of Port Moresby and they are returning to Buna after last nights gig and I've already
refueled them from the AO in the hex w/ them and I COULD use the other half of their ammo on another bombardment but that would
leave them naked w/o any ammo and that doesn't "feel" right. So I'm content to make trips and use only 1/2 their ammo per trip. That
way if they should have to dash off and attend to a different task they will at least have SOMETHING to shoot back w/. They use a
tremendous amount of supply when they re-arm and I have 5 AKE's at Buna to re-arm them and just below the TF display you'll find a
display showing the supply of the AKE's so far. I may have to send one or more of them to Truk to get more supplies and that means I'll
need an escort for the AKE going to Truk so I'd best start the roundup of a descent PB or something similar for that task. I like to plan
ahead.

Not much traffic moves through Nagoya so I'm going to move the shipping engineers from Nagoya to Hakodate. I figure that's a high
traffic spot if ever there was one and maybe we'll get more throughput, more bandwidth. Come to think of it, you can get a much higher
bandwidth through a parallel port than you can through a serial port.....maybe I should use more ports to download the goodies from the
ships. What a concept. Why didn't I think of that?

RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 30Mar42
TF 41 is docked at location code named Cinnamin Poo and is loading resources but there's a complication. Cinnamin Poo is one of
those places that has a resource center but has a resource drain in that there's a HI center there too. So I have to maintain a certain
amount of fuel and resources to keep it producing. So I'm planning on leaving a couple thousand resources there as a maintenance
level and whenever the level is high enough to pay for the trip then I'll be back for more.

Here's a case where the escorts have to be escorted. All these DD's loitered a couple of days at Balikpapan waiting to be re-armed w/
DC's and nothing happened so I'm escorting them to Bubble Drop for some DC's. It's a bigger port w/ an AKE there and I'm hoping to
be successful in this little adventure.

Okay, we've got some drama here. Jim has advanced his carrier Hermes to within range of my land-based air and I've just got to
respond in a massive way. The Zero's at Oosthaven are set on escort and the Kates are set on naval attack and I've double checked to
ensure that the carrier planes are on naval attack and all the float planes are pointed at the Allied TF and I think everything is ready to
launch. We'll probably have some combat report about this. We'll see.

I found another Allied ship further north of the Allied carrier group. I'm not sure where she's headed but I don't have any ships to chase
after this one yet. Maybe I can do a better job keeping her in sight though. Find out where it's going and be there before it gets there
hopefully.

The 77th Inf Rgt is leaving Keijo outbound for Mersing in Malaya. I'm hoping that adding these additional troops will help the troops there
already hold the line because they are seriously outnumbered as it is. Only the lack of supply is hindering the Allies as it is.

TF 545 is a CS w/ an escort and it's float planes have detected an Allied TF to the south and this deserves further investigation. I'm
sending back up even as we speak.

Nauru and Ocean Island have both dried up as a good place to get resources. I'm going to have to let them lay fallow for a while to get
a big enough pile to make a trip worthwhile. There's some sources near Singapore that I'm investigating. All I have to do is invade to
get them. I'll get back to you on that.
