There is a 6' model of the Gustav railroad gun that is always on Ebay for a few thousand $s.

Like Warspite I have'nt done any military modelling for over 30 years, so I was tempted to get the Yamato.
But at £256 pounds for a 1/350th scale model, its a little out of my price range..[:(]
Why so much more expensive? ......Well I suppose it is a little bigger than the Grand Old Lady...but size isn't everything you know [;)]

Ive never really got into modeling but it does look interesting. Closest thing ive done to it, is the civilwar/roman minitures.

Well I haven't made a plastic kit for about 15-20 years but I saw that the Korean kit maker Academy do a 1:350th scale model of HMS Warspite. I've ordered this and just waiting for it to arrive. That should keep me occupied for a while [:)]
![]()
The kit arrived on Thursday [:)] It's big! and ...it looks complicated... but worst of all, the paint instructions are rubbish [:(]
Fortunately there is a website that sells paint colours for WWII ships, planes etc. I told them what I needed and hey presto, they have given me the reference numbers I need.
Just got to wait for these to arrive so I can get cracking on the hull.

Well, I carefully clip the corners of ALL counters of my board games.
I used to do that to my Star Fleet Battles counters. I remember once me and my opponent had a summer long campaign and we actually named each and every ship. It was hundreds, counting the carriers, space control ships, dreadnaughts, cruisers, destroyers, Fed express ships, frigates.......
After 16 years, Civ II still has me in it's clutches LOL!!!
Now CIV IV has me in it's evil clutches!

Maybe men do those things because from time to time they regress to a child again.
Regress? According to my wife and children I never left childhood.
Same here Steiner, same here.

The one childhood habit I’ve never been able to kick is Strat-O Matic, every Feb I order up last years rosters then spend the next 12 months replaying the pervious baseball season (cards ‘n dice) scoring every pitch ‘n every @ bat compiling stats with pen and paper as I go………….sick

Yes I was going to paint that today but I ran out of green. Perhaps I should run a "design-a-Christmas-tree-decoration" type thing?

That sounds extremely interesting. I bet if we do that this thread will hit an all time high with views and posts.

I know. Proof of that are the 11 people who voted on the beauty thread. Huge numbers, just HUGE.
