Horse Calvary

I have a question regarding Horse Calvary, more specifically movement speeds. If I remember correctly from COTA that the Greek Calvary Squadrons movement rates were the same as Greek foot infantry. I am interested in creating 1914 units and am unsure of what movement speed of period Calvary units should be and how Command ops handles horse movement in general from a scenario design standpoint. Any info or thought on this would be greatly appreciated.

I've created some cavalry unit for my May 1940 scenarios. I've used 9/16 kph form normal/max speed, but you can easily adjust the values in the Estab Editor.In fact, you'll have to build all units and much of the equipment from scratch with the Estab Editor, if you want to create a 1914 scenario.

I don't know how well the AI handles cavalry units. In fact, I don't know if anybody does (except Dave of course [;)]) I'd start with creating a small scenario with an existing map and a few newly created units, and see how it works out.

Panzer I've always thought about a WW1 conversion..though I'm not sure it has the necessary features to do it right..still very interested in what your doing..keep us all updated.
