Davao: An attack by two regiments inflicts superior causalites on the Shinto Boys. Arty has arrived.

Ground combat at Davao (79,91)

Allied Deliberate attack

Attacking force 7315 troops, 255 guns, 110 vehicles, Assault Value = 293

Allied adjusted assault: 18

The reduction in Arried AV in this case is cause for concern for the round-eyed devils. Going from 293 to 18 AV is pretty extreme. A division equivalent can't get 1:1 odds against a debilitated base force? Hmmm...

What's the reason? Astronomic disruption? Fatigue? Existential ennui?

Well, one of the regiments sat out and the arty had just arrived...but yeah, it was kind of anemic. Definitely need Parchesi boards ..or maybe some pinup posters. The Emperor Brand Kool-aide only works on LYB's.

For some reason only to be understood by an estrogen-poisoned brain SG was talked into some botox by one of the female plastic surgeons at her work..."just 30 units". [8|]

It did remove a couple of wrinkles which I never saw as problematic (especially considering I am 16 years older [:)]) but now I can't tell when she is mad at me. Yesterday, I went to the ATT store to get an new I-phone and get rid of my LG POS and the ATT guy accidentally tuned off her cell phone remotely and put SG's number on my daughter's new phone. We discovered the error and and he had to give me a new SIM card to install in her phone when I got home. Instinctively, I knew this would not go well but he courageously reminded me that I would get a customer service survey the next day and "10 is passing". [:)]

So when I get home, I explain that she needs to install a new SIM card and that the ATT guy "made a mistake". One eyebrow goes up just a little bit..otherwise she might have been in the World Championship of Poker. Now, this seems somewhat comical to me, sort of like a Jack Nicholson imitation or something, so I start to laugh.

This proves to be a worse decision than trying to get the 11th Marine Def. Bn. in to Cagayan.

Later, after a trip back to the ATT store, she is still ticked, irrationally so, and we are driving to a Bar-BQ at a friends but she is driving waaaay too fast. I try to suggest that we not kill ourselves. That doesn't go well either, so I just cinch up the seatbelt. I look over at the dash...at least 85 and the speed trap is coming up. Santa Maria!

Sure enough...here comes the CHiP. He comes to my side. I roll down the window. SG is trapped, she can't very well do the cleavage trick with me in the passenger seat. She puts out her nursing badge from a trauma center. Sometimes that works with first responders. He doesn'tee it.

"License and registration please., ma'am. I pulled you over for you speed. I clocked you at 86 on radar."

So here is the funny part. He can't tell how mad she is either. [:D][:D][:D] He comes back and says, "I just wrote you down for exceeding 65 because you were so polite and didn't get angry." [:D][:D][:D]

Most of the Bettys were probably lost near Darwin. 14 Wildcats on CAP over the biggest base in Northern Oz is not really a "CAP trap". Maybe the PT boats at Lautem wre. [:)]

It cost me $1500 to add Mandrake Jr to the Allstate insurance policy on the Kia Soul but that is still cheaper than State Farm. That seems like a lot of money by really, Allstate has NOOOOOO idea.

What's the group morale at this point? Seems like they've put into the proverbial meat grinder. Some Molson's Special might be in order for this lot?
