Why was my android sent to jail?

Post by tdouglas »

Hey in WS is the background for why we are fightning developed? Its not nessary for ToS but could be fun if there are military objectives we must accomplish.

Cheers,

There is some backstory on the history of ToS, and I believe there will be missions, too. Larkin can tell you more.

Warring Suns will have campaigns. They will make you curse the day you discovered gaming. Other than that though, they're great fun :)

WS has a military setting, as opposed to the game world setting in v1.4. There is a background story.
There will be 3 campaigns and a few single missions. They have a huge diversity of different mission objectives, allowed by the ever evolving map editor.
There is also a tutorial "mission" made by Kai, which is excellent in showing the basics of the game.

Other than that, it's just mind-numbing action, with killer graphics and stunning sound. :)

As for requirements, here what I could dig up, but I'm sure it will have to be updated :)

486 DX computer with 24 MB RAM and a graphic display adapter capable of 800x600x256 resolution.
Windows 95/98, NT or 2000.
Soundcard.
20 MB hard drive free space.
An Ethernet network card for LAN play.
A modem for TCP/IP play.

A tutorial? That's an awesome idea. A lot of people seem to have trouble when first starting the game.

No kidding. It took a hell of a lot of time to learn how to play this game...but it was worth it.

It was fun! Learning how to play this game was incredibly fun. Still is. Netgames are also fun as personal experience is a big factor. And probably the best thing about a netgame is that the winner isn't obvious until the very end. I hate it everytime i know that i won or that i'm toas ans there's still some time left to play. Those games can get awfully boring. ToS is unpredictable and there's allways the chance that those CLGs will (amazingly) hit something...ok,sorry aboot that, couldn't resist. They work fine, but bring 2-3 of them just in case.
cheers

Well, you know, it's always nice to bring two or three weapons with you, just in case you have to share. (Damage, that is.) :)

Ain't ya ever heard of Asimov's laws of robotics?

**** Android broke the first one: No killing the wet, squidgy things!

10 KILL Human
20 GOTO Jail
30 PRINT "You have two choices:"
40 PRINT "Permanent shutdown or Killing more Wet, Squidgy things."
50 INPUT "Kill more things Y/N?"

Geh, I remember back when they taught me Qbasic in high school *shudders*
Marginally less annoying than VB.Net (which I recently withdrew from) however.
Korgmeister - Mad scientist of pessimistic ToS design and unluckiest ToS player in history.

Please note that all comments that any weapon, design, tactic etc are better are: FROM AN ENTIRELY SUBJECTIVE POINT OF VIEW and should be recieved in such light
