VDay is one of the most worthless, biggest exuse to spend money, holidays. Have fun for all you who celebrate it.

I celebrate the same thing the other 364 days a year with my loved ones, why is today any different?

Surely, Jeff, you of all people can understand downside hedge protection? A valentine's day card (and flowers) is cheap downside put protection for your 'long' positions. [:D]

Card yes. Flowers on valentines day are obscenely over priced. Rather than spend $100+ on one day , I pick them up in the store and for the same price I can give flowers once a month for the whole year. (Lot's of marital bargaining points for giving flowers during a boring week night "just because I was thinking of you!"...and a BIG dollar savings too!). [:D]

...mrs. mart and i plan to make our traditional valentine's day dinner tonight...it's an italian dish that she learned in a cooking school in Tuscany...yumdillyishious!!! not sure exactly what it's called, but think sweet italian sausage, ziti pasta with cream/truffle based sauce baked in a light pastry...

Actually making that right now for a Valentines Day treat. Using Tony Cachere's and Picapeppa, and have a recipe for malt vinegar that I use instead of that white vinegar and sugar stuff. Good living in Alabama where you can get fresh shrimp and crab right off the boat at Billy's Seafood dock. The Andouille comes from some gnarly place in Bayou Teche. OK, well, the carrots come from Bay Minette, and I know the green pepper came from Foley; no clue where the garlic came from. Flour is King Biscuit, unbolted. Let ya know tomorrow how it turned out.

I am jealous for fresh seafood. I fish every waking hour... so that is a fresh as I get..
