TF 85 is moving some AF dudes for me from Tokyo to Dili. Dili has a great airport and the port's not too bad and I've got one of my better
LCU's there and I could use a level - 3 airfield that close to Darwin. It's a win-win.

I've got some AK's running fuel from Truk to the outlaying islands and everything but it seems like all of a sudden there's not enough fuel
in the world. Everywhere needs fuel. And the home islands are going dry. I'm going to have to turn on the Refinery at Balikpapan again.
Just to generate enough fuel for all our needs. Man, it's one crisis after another. First it was the 10K max on oil storage at Babo and
then Palembang got a minefield layed on it. Then Balikpapan maxed out on fuel storage. And now there's a profound shortage of fuel
on the fringes of the supply chains. I hope I can get the 14th Division to Singapore soon, that TF has 33 ships in it that I could be using
to move goodies. Probably around 450 ships out of the 600 I have are transports and it seems like there still isn't enough shipping. I've
got the Naval yard pumping out ships and the Merchant yard is making all kinds of headway but it seems too slow or something. The
character of this game is changing again........at least for me. The initial pushes are largely over with and there's not so much moving of
people around as goodies from place to place. Maint. runs to service the islands in fuel and supplies and pick up resources and the TK's
are moving fuel out of Balikpapan to Bubble Drop and from there I'm going to move some fuel to Truk and Guam. For storage.

This is me turning on the production of the refinery at Balikpapan so that the production of fuel will comense and fuel will start to pile up
at Balik again.

This is the resource history of the Japanese home islands and you can see how fuel has been in free fall for a while now. Resources are
holding pretty well but I'm running out of oil and fuel. I've got enough oil to last another 192 days, says Tracker. But on the other hand
the oil from the Southern Resource Area hasn't really started to reach Japan yet, so maybe it's not as dire as it seems.

Jim and I have exchanged files and here's some fresh combat results. Um......DMS W-3 is as busy as a beaver clearing two fields in the
same mission. I'm hoping those fields can be completely cleared within a week so I can start hauling fuel and oil again from Paley. I've
got DMS W-5 heading for Soerabaja to clear the field there. Then I can start hauling resources out of Soerabaja to Japan. The whole
trouble is that those two DMS ships are all I have to do minefield clearing. And either one or both of them can be sunk. Maybe I should
put an escort on both of them. Wow, what a concept.

If you figure in the cost of fuel and the amount of supply it will take to rearm the BB and the supplies it will take to repair any minor sys
damage etc. that might have come up during the voyage and everything......well, those small Allied losses hardly justifies doing the
mission at all. On the other hand, I need a target to use BB on and Port Moresby is handy and I CAN bombard about every third day or
so. It's not like the BB has something else better to do.

This is just one of the several air attacks by the Japs on Singapore. At least raids like this one might help prevent the Allied ENG units
from building fortifications as fast at Singapore. I don't need a lot of Allied forts so I continue to do raids like this one.

There were several strikes on Darwin as well. I don't have a solid goal with these bombings, it's more like (1) the planes are w/in range
(2) losses are low (3) it seems like the thing I should do.

The aerial beat down of the Manila remnants continues. I have no idea where Jim is headed with this group but I'm hoping all this
bombing is slowing him down. It can't be doing him any good so I do it.
