TF 264 is built around the CVE Taiyo and she's only got room for a squadron of Vals and no CAP is present so I'm going to have to
rely on my land-based CAP dudes to protect the carrier when I run her up next to the east coast near Mersing to get at that Alliled
shipping on the west coast side of Malaya. We'll see how good that plan works.

Midget subs are more of a hassle than useful. I thought I might park a midget sub on all the Allied hot spots, like Johnston Island, so as
to just loiter there and keep an eye on things. So now I've got this midget sub at Johnston Island that's out of torpedoes and can't go
get some more on it's own and it'll take me at least a month to get a sub carrier down there to retrieve him and take him somewhere
where he can get some more torpedoes. And then I gotta take him out to his station again. Whoa. It almost makes me want to treat it
as expendable. But to be realistic I guess I should go retrieve it, rearm it, and send it out again.

TF 335 is my SW carriers and they struck for the first time this morning, ( or was it afternoon? ) and I've got bou cou Allied ships in the
port at Brisbane and it's likely that they will stay put and not skedaddle at first chance, but on the other hand there's some Allied ships
at Syndey that are already made into TF's and moving and maybe there's some ships in the port as well there at Sydney. At any rate,
I'm going to do a patrol pattern w/ this carrier group, continually moving north and south to confuse his CAP dudes between Brisbane
and Sydney, inclusive, and hopefully we'll maximize the BDA on this tour. I'm going to run out of sorties in about two days of continual
striking, I'm guessing, but I'll probably run out of fuel first. That's where the AO comes in handy. I'll get the AO group to head south to
join in on the fun.

I've got an AO at Truk that needs to take onboard about 10K of fuel and there's only about 20K of fuel at Truk, so I don't feel safe about
filling up that AO from Truk. So that means that Truk is no longer combat ready. I need an emergency delivery of fuel to Truk. I just
thought you guys would want to know.

I need for nothing to happen to DMS W-3 on this trip to Bataan so I've given him 3 escorts to get him there. I'm going to put him to the
task of reducing the mine fields at Bataan and Manila harbor. Then I can start using Manila's repair yard..........I think.

That's a great idea. I called them and asked for a quote on how much it would cost to transport 30K of fuel to Truk and how long it would
take and I was told $1 a ton and two weeks. I said thanks but that's too expensive and takes too long. I'll just do it myself.

Jim and I exchanged files and here's some fresh combat results. I think maybe I've found that Allied TF. It's reached it's destination I
guess and now I need to put together a response to this intrusion. I think I'll scoot the carrier(s) to this location and see if I can't break
up the Allied party going on.

I did this bombardment to get a list of the Allied LCU's there and there's no list. D'oh. Didn't hurt anything though.

I just now noticed that the Allied minefield icon dot is missing from Soerabaja so I guess that means the minefield is gone and the DMS
can now steam up to Manila and start working on the minefields at Manila and Bataan.

The Manila remnants are still getting the beat down. I'm guessing it's getting ripe for a DA and I'm moving more people into that hex to
do that.
