Invasion fleet

Post by feryveroweb »

Hi friends again, im playing scen 7 as allies, and my question is the better for to manage an invasion fleet to capture Lunga and Tulagi.

One question i have in mind : when i use 1 transport carrier to land Tulagi ,unloading all troops and supplies takes me 2 or 3 days to complete. And finally appears IJN CTFs....Is faster use 3 or 4 transport carriers to complete it quickly?

Ships have specific load and unload speeds based on port sizes and type. Splitting the load up over more ships increases the actual delivery speed by having more ships unloading concurrently but risks additional ships and burns fuel (which must be brought forward).

It is always something that needs to be specifically considered based on the circumstances.

If you are in a hurry and must get in and out, fast transport missions are the only way to go. If you want to get in and out in less then 3 turns, stick to the 1500 unit sized ships. If you are supplying secure ports with no worries, send in the big 3000 unit ships, understanding that they could be there over a week to unload.
