Post by DPimentel »

Sorry for this newb question, but I can't figure out how to research resupply ships? What do I need to be able to get them?

No need to be sorry! :)

Under the "Energy & Construction" tab -> 3rd level in -> Accelerated Construction. (Near the bottom)

Hi DROCK. You need to go into the Energy & Construction tab and research;

Code: Select all

Space Construction - Enhanced Construction - Accelerated Construction (Resupply Ships)

Thanks, but here's the next problem I have.

I've already researched that but when I go to the build screen, it says there are no buildable designs for the resupply ship. When I search through the design screen, I cant find any mention of any resupply ships. Why do you think I cant find any of the designs for it?

Could I have deleted it by accident?

I have the same problem. You'll have to design one from scratch.

No big deal, just select your largest current design (Cruiser?) and copy as new. In the design screen, set the role to "Resupply Ship" (beside the ship graphic) and follow the warnings to make the design complete... tweak as needed.

Thanks, Larry, that should work.

Bythe way, I'm up to episode five of your Let's Play series. I've learned a lot already. This is one of those games where you keep learning new things each time you play. Thanks again!

I've owned the game for 6 months and even as recent as today sat down and looked deeper into some things that have been giving me problems. Specifically, freighter and base designs to help get my economy and resources moving better. It's working out rather well.

I get the feeling I'll look at that Let's Play series in about 6 months from now and smack myself on the forehead over some of the things I did. [:D]

Glad they're helping. [8D]

That's the fun thing about Let's Plays! You can enjoy playing the game yourself, but at the same time get massive amounts of feedback from those who watch the videos. A bit like having a friend over from school and playing the game together, or him telling you some tips that you just have to check out. :)
