Thanks a lot once again to Possum for his great work!

Ditto. I have enjoyed all the Possum games and hope the combination of Possum 6 with Wir 3.3 will be the best ever.
Thanks Possum for all the work. It has bought Wir to life. Matt

Changes for Possum v6 from Possum v5

1) Soviet Northwest Front HQ moved to hex 29,15 (Riga)
2) Soviet Western Front HQ moved to 33,27
3) Soviet Southwestern Front HQ moved to 36,34
4) Fixed a bug, LG-3 not appering in Africa/Italian Front HQ
5) Fixed a bug, Dummy HQ was appearing on the map in Norway.
6) Fixed a bug, a Dummy city was appearing in Norway.
7) Re-did the names of many Soviet Tank Regiment's

Note : Unless some major bugs appear, or something is broken, this will be the final version of Possum's OBWIR.

Possum 6.0 vs. 3.2/3.3

Post by Stefdragon »

Out of basic curiosity:

Could someone please tell me where I could read about the difference in the Possum program as compared to the standard WIR.

Are there notes or something that answer that if I download the Possum program from Dave's site?

Are there any threads that have gone into detail about this?

Does Possum work with the later scenarios, or just Barbarossa?

Notwithstanding anything previously stated, if I can't read up on it on my own, could someone give me a brief synopsis of the Possum differences?

10-Q very much in advance!

 :)

Possum's work is an excellent, detailed version of the 1941 campaign, with many more tank and aircraft types, stronger Soviet forces, more armor sub-units for the Soviets, tweaked factories, etc. Not a different WIR, just scenario.
