Load AI turn

Post by BigDuke66 »

Hi
Can I somehow get to the AI side of an human vs AI game? Would like to check some things, for example why his carrier attacks seem so seldom.

Sure. Just set the game to Head to Head, then load the turn you're interested in. You'll have the ability to see (and issue orders to) both sides. Note that while this will let you see where his carriers and other forces are, it may not help you understand why they are there, or why they aren't attacking in the manner you expect them to.

Thanks.
Well his carrier looks ok, except for his CVLs 2 on there way back hopefully to repair as the 3rd is near Java with 19 Sys damage.

Also some turns ago I saw the Kaga attack Midway and so only on DD as escort, though it's surely just FOW but now I see that the TF really only has the Kaga and a DD in it.

I wonder how much impact the AI have on this, I don't have clue what they all set, I guess at least the major plan of what and where to attack but do they go so far as to define the composition of TFs?

There's a risk in doing this, because the AI pays no attention to garrison requirements. You may find that the Soviets become activated when you switch to head to head.

Won't help in the slightest as to why, your better off looking at the games scripted routines through the editor. If you want to check the stautus of the opposition then a better way is to load it into Tracker as the AI. I've done this on more than one occasion when I've suspected something of being wrong. On nearly all occasions it's turned into a bad die roll or FOW.
