Luzon: Legaspi fell to a Marine para coy. JJ left hardly any suppries, so I scaled back the landing at Legaspi for this turn. Just some tanks and engieers by LCT/LST. APD's will attempt to deliver supplies and C-47's from Cagayan are flying in Aussie aviation engineers. RCAF Hurris, USMC Corsairs and USAAF P-39's will attempt to provide air cover.

LYB carriers are STILL loitering NE of Taytay. Those guys do NOT learn. Wasp and the CVE's are crossing the gap from Sulawese to Manado today.

The Vengeances will attack Manadalay

The invasion forces have rendezvoused on the B of Bay (an innovative navigational methodoly I must admit but it works) and will begin their run-in to the landing sites today. It's 13 hexes away (not sure if that's metric or imperial but there you go).

Yes, Yes! I see it now. JJ are EXPECTING a surprise attack so you remove the surprise and it ruins all their pranning for surprise attacks!

Legaspi et environs (Luzon): Uncertain what kind of air strength we could offer at at Legaspi, the heavy stuff was ordered to pull back and rendezvous SE of Leyte to be covered by P-38's and P-40K's from Mindanao. Somebody missed the memo and was 80 mi. further North. D'oh! I blame the staff. These Betty drivers are astonishingly competent. I think this was a CD unit and some Sea Bees. Again, we block all mail to Port Hueneme.

Legaspi et environs (Luzon): A very, very, VERY well escorted Betty raid on the landing ships at Legaspi. This raid might have penetrated Wasp's CAP. [X(] I count 48 Betty sorties from Clark and it isn't even noon yet. They roast a Large Slow Target and take out some Stuarts and 2 1/2 ton trucks. Gaak. The CAP ar Legaspi is not efficient due to the lack of ammo, aviation fuel and ground support. Other than that, everything is fine.

Legaspi et environs (Luzon): JJ immediately goes after the vulnerable airfield at Legaspi. They know the routine now. The airfield is operational the day after the paras land. Expertly done counterattacks. I have to give it to them. We need at least two mutually supporting airfields in the area.

No more bad stuff happened on Luzon.

Oz: 7th Marine Regt. is trying to make the run from Derby to Darwin. Beaufighters try to cover from Wyndham...nto so much. It might have ben worse if the Bettys went after the AP's. Instead we lose 2 AK's and some trucks. No more trips north of Oz. Too dangerous.
