Fatal Error:999

Anyone any ideas? I get the main menu, then when I hit play, I get the following error message displayed over the load screen "Fatal Error:999". I've uninstalled and re-installed to no effect.

Anyone seen this before?

Quad core system with good graphics and RAM.

Thanks for this, I appreciate it.

I disabled AVG in line with some of the comments here, and although that didn't work, it got me thinking along the right lines.

I disabled Zonealarm next and that did the trick. Windows has a firewall so didn't need it anyway.
