I think you would have to say the run in to Ramree has gone well so far (except for the dent in PoW).

Not sure why they are reinforcing Truk. Surely they cannot believe that the PI operation is a bluff?

Kongo is out of the action for at least 3 d (1 or 2 days to get to Takao to refuel and back).

The IJN carriers, presumably sans Kaga, are likely to retreat northward rather than risk a battle where they are now.

We will have to see how badly hurt Clark is. Most likely we need a day or two more of suppression. We dont want to fight IJN carriers and Bettys from Clark at the same time.

I do not see any AAR's by Col Mustard nor any games in progress. I am not sure being demeaning is in your best interest [;)]

But IMHO the big difference between Peleliu and say Okie or Tokyo is the ability to apply the USA/USN airpower coming over the next 6 months. Peleliu is an atoll and requires supply convoys to keep supply. The USN torps are getting to be effective. So a combination of submarines, airpower, and naval bombardment can reduce Peleliu to an invadable target about 25% reduction in firepower and AV and the USN/USA can bring in 2X the firepower and AV. Tokyo and Okie are a lot harder to isolate in kind. Please see the picture below.

There is a problem in that this will deviate from the Northern push into Manilla. So the resources might be already pegged for that operation. Anyway Cap it might be worth the investment if the IJ get more comitted to cutting the supply lines in teh middle of the squid. If this game lasts to Jan 1944 you might need the space to avoid the Kami attacks.

Crackaces - I certainly didn't mean to be demeaning (maybe I used the wrong smilie???). You certainly have a lot more experience than I do at the game, and I'm stuck living vicariously through the World's Worst AAR. I was just giving a reminder that the Captain was focused on the jugular, and Babeldaob would be a big distraction from that - which we seem to agree on.

I am with Cap on this one .. one of the torps smashed into a floating F4F ... the IJ only thought they has 4 go on target ..

Well, I can't berieve I read the WHOLE thing! For some odd reason, I stumbled across this AAR and (even more strange) I read all 375 pages. I spent precious hours of my life I will never get back. Maybe those hours were not so precious because I did stick with it to the bloody end and plan to continue. I have enjoyed reading the World's Worst AAR (tm) a great deal and have learned many things I never knew I needed to know. Also, the outcome of the war is interesting so far. You have those LYBs glands in a bit of a vise it appears. Good ruck on the future!

Rord Admirar Fabertong sent us a message via the Swiss Embassy. It seems he spent 2 hrs. preparing for the destruction of the Arries and then the dog ate the turn. Then there was something about a train. Probabry he went to see how Col. Saito is doing with the bridge in Burma.

The point is that JJ's spirits are up after all the ships we let them sink the past two days and they are pranning to sink more.
