Dutch ship Soerabaja

Hi All. Have a question which i think is a problem. The dutch ship Soerabaja (PG) has a troop and cargo cap of 500 each. How ever the ship is not loadable. at least in transport TF mode. I looked the ship up on the web and it was capable of transporting troop and cargo (equipment). Is this a code issue or what?[&:] I have tried to load this ship twicw in two different games. Any ideas? Thanks. Oh, i transfered the ship to the Pacific Fleet just to see it that would work. [:)][:)] Cheers

In a transport TF, PGs will act as escorts, not as transports. Create a fast transport TF and you'll be able load troops, supplies, equipment, etc.

By the way, why can this ship only load in fast transport mode and not reg transport mode? Apd's can do either. I understand why not in Amphib mode but doesn't make sence. Any ideas?[&:][&:][&:]

this may be WAD, the DEI navy has lots of transports.

allowing their PCs and PGs to FT but not amphib or transport would likely avoid giving them capabilities that are ahistorical or game unbalancing.

I see fast transport capability is an "emergency procedure". Evidently PGs and PCs have been designed for other roles than transporting troops, supplies and equipment and AP types are better suited for the purpose. So normally you would not use PGs and PCs as troop transports unless special circumstances require.

allies have a rouges gallery of odd ships which can FT

some Brit CMs and some dutch PCs and PGs. quite an odd group.
