Posterized Map mod

Post by jack54 »

This is what I have been using for about a week. I changed the map color and the added another layer that had all lines darked by the 'Posterize edge' filter. From the 'vinilla' map so unfortunatly no extra city names or factories. If people are interested I can post a link...

If you DL my original place names mod, then you can play with those files and you'll have place names plus any changes you make. It's fine by me.

Thank you redmarkus4, thank you bcgames. I think it is wonderful how the senior players and testers help out the new people. I printed out the game manual (6 ink refills) for 375 pages. But it does not tell 1/4 of what one needs to know. I have played all the road to... games and one GC game all as the Germans set @ normal. Made it to summer of 42. Caused 4.5 million casulities to the Russians and took Moscow (well the computer evacuated it). But just attacked relentlessly and by summer of 42 all the German units had CV's of 1 and the Russians where growing every turn. I was done. Figured I need to learn the logistic side of things. Found the Forums and have been reading all the AAR's. Now I am trying to play the Soviets. Is there some secret to how the Russians get so many guys to the Lenigrad sector in like 4-6 turns. I can only create one unit per turn at a cost of 40AP's. Does any one know of a Thread/lesson that shows the Soviets how to create units. The computer creates them like mad and even places them fairly far from a rail line turn after turn. How does one do that? [&o]

Simply put the computer cheats, it is able to replace lost units far quicker than a human player as it doesn't pay any AP costs nor is it restricted to placing units in city hexes & there for the AI can create front lines at will (this is to make up for the fact that against a human opponent it can be out thought)
