Mines.
Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

PT boat should be used as speed bumps. You will lose them but they are only 1 point each. The main purpose of using them is to get teh bombardment group to waste action points in surface combat so they can't bombard and move out of enemy air range by morning. If you get 2 or 3 seperate surface combats the group probably won't have enough action points to get away in the morning.

If you are real lucky you might even get a torpedo hit on them, but that's not thepoint -- just icing on the cake.

If you want to get some good practice at stopping surface bombardments, play the scenario "Four weeks of Hell".
