Yeah. What's with the smiley face on the fuselage, Per?

That's three crowns.

My God the chicken has insulted Per's nation emblem... this is unseemly behavior indeed.

My Grandfather always said that chickens should be seen and not heard, and I think he was onto something there.

3000 yard swim workout is in the books! The rest of the day is shaping up to be beautifully lazy. [8D]

I miss the days when I had time to swim 1800m three-four times a week. When the kids are older and can taxi themselves around I plan on getting back in the pool!

My son gets his Learner's Permit at the end of this month, Mike! He also has an older friend who drives him around plenty.

Hi Mike! Any final word on your plans for the rest of this year yet? [:)]

Oh yeah. I mob this Friday and hit the road for the mob station next Monday. A short fling at the mob station then off to the Middle East. I'll be back around Easter. One nice thing about all this is I get promoted to LTC on Friday.

Well, congratulations Mike!!! Keep your head down and keep your laptop battery charged while you're "over there"!

Just about the only buddy who I served with that is still active is a Marine. He'll always be Sgt. Herbic to me, but he's now a Master Guns! [:D] You'll always be Major Mike around here. [8D]

Morning all, and a very, very snowy morning.
About 4" so far I'm guessing and still coming down. 14"+ southwest of here. More snow is in the forecast this week. Temps no higher than the 30's in the near future. Golf? Maybe sometime in May. This is not good. Crops should be in the ground by now. This is looking bad. Another year with no summer?[:(]

Well, it was 61F/16C when I walked out the door this morning, the redbuds, and hackberry's were in full bloom and the wisteria is just about to bloom. Lots of honey bees flying already, going to be a great year for honey.

Expect high temperature around 82F/27C this afternoon.

Not to rub it in, or anything... Come August you will be telling us now nice it is in your part of the country while we are dying in 100F/38C plus temperatures.

Probably not. Back in the day I've poured concrete in 110F. with 90%+ humidity. That is the problem up here, one extreme to the other. 150 degree temperature swings.[8|]
When one thinks about it, just stepping out outside in winter can be 120+ degree difference.

The Red Star Tribune had a historical temperature bit on days with 100+ degrees heat index versus 90+ heat index. Phoenix has many more days >90, but we're actually on par with days >100 heat index historically speaking. The summer humidity catches us up in a hurry.

So, Shani's right. It's the temperature swing (in part), but it's also the humidity swing. Who'd a thunk living in a swamp would get all hot and sticky in the summer? [&:]
