Subs loading supplies visible during PBEM?

I was watching my turn in PBEM and I noticed a message saying, "Sub xxx loading #### supplies". I find this strange because we don't get these messages when transports load supplies? Can the other player see this message in the replay? If so, I think that should be changed.

Yep, the other player definitely notices it. My opponent commented on it when I loaded supplies into a sub a few turns back. Kind of takes the element of surprise out of submarine-borne commando raids! It does need to be changed.

True, but with the new patch giving some defense to all units, I think commando raids will diminish greatly.

I used my subs to capture an enemy dot near Noumea and dump some supply there. Then I use that hex to rearm my subs so they don't have to crawl all the way home after taking shots at three patrol craft. Think of it as an imoble milk cow (German sub used to resupply other subs).

Yep, I occasionally use subs to transport small dollops of supply as well as troops to unoccupied dots or bases. I don't use them to attack enemy units with no defense -- e.g., AA or engineer units. So the new patch won't affect my use of subs as transport tools.

If you have a save that I can repeat this on, please send it to me with a repeat of the bug.

I don't have a save but someone should have no trouble making one because, as far as I know, it happens 100% of the time. Create a PBEM game vs yourself and load a sub with supplies on turn one. When you run the turn you should get the message.

If I'm wrong and it only happens intermittently then I will keep my eyes peeled for when it happens next and send the save.
