TOAW 2 or WotY owners: plead for help

Post by Martin_Goliath »

As some of you know, I have been working on a scenario conversion tool for a while. I am now able to read sce files of any TOAW version, and produce a game XML for TOAW III from it. The only remaining issues are some equipment mappings from the older versions. I have sorted out a lot of those mappings by comparing scenarios that are available in multiple versions. However, some equipments seldom show up, and so remain undetermined.

So, if you own a running copy of TOAW 2 or WotY, your help in sorting this out would be much appreciated! (I have TOAW 1 myself, so that is all sorted out.) Let me know if you are prepared to do this, and I will send you a spreadsheet to be compared to the equipment list in the scenario editor of your TOAW version.

Thanks in advance

A quick update:

All equipment issues regarding TOAW 2 have been solved thanks to input from josant and shunwick - many thanks, guys! If anyone happens to have an equipment document for the WotY version of TOAW, I would be more than happy to get hands on a copy.

The conversion tool is currently undergoing beta testing by some of you. I intend to make it available to the community some time in the near future.

Great job.. The conversion tool finally enabled me to check out an old obscure scenario "Guderian 40"

Silvanski,

That's interesting.

I have that scenario but forgot I had it and so never catalogued it. Thanks for reminding me.

Best wishes,
Steve
