Rookie Questions

Post by GreyWolf16 »

Good looking game. I have a few 'interface' questions that I could not find in the manual.
1 - is there any way to slow down the bloody combat sequence? When the enemy attacks it happens too fast to follow! What about a 'replay' option to review the action?
2 - is there any way to 'take back' an accidental move?
3 - is there any info screen that shows cumulative caualties and kills for each side?

Thanks.

On question #2; I end up using the savegame feature quite a bit during game play as way to keep mistakes in check.

1) Unfortunately not *(see below)
2) No
3) If you select the management tab, kills and casualties are displayed in the bottom panel on a per faction / per unit class basis.

EDIT:
In single player, there is an auto save created every time you press end turn. You could re-load that and end turn again to have another look at the AI moves.

I might add; that under the savegame feature I would create a title like "LAST MOVE" or create a name like that in general. As I proceed through the game, for instance the Turkish area of the map, make my moves or attacks, ect., then save to LAST MOVE, then move onto AH, Germany, ect., repeating the process each step of the way till completing my entire turn. At this point I would create another file/savegame titled 1914 (as an ex.), to preserve all the work I just did. It's a tedious method of keeping track of your work, but I find it better than having to start the whole scenerio over again because of a casual or unforseen mistake.

What a damn shame that the game SPEED is not controllable. Bang-bang and one of my battle fleets is gone in a puff of smoke sure where or why it went?! It would seem like SUCH an easy feature to add.

What I've done is record the combat replay on my iphone and play it back in slow motion.
