Tim,

It depends. Are you asking as a player or as a scenario designer? Either way, it would be better to ask in the TOAW forum rather than technical support.

Best wishes,
Steve

Tim,

As a player you need to wait for the nuclear release order. This depends, of course, if the scenario in question allows nukes. Once the nuclear release is given, the option for a nuclear attack appears on the standard attack pop up menu when you right-click on a target.

Please note: There is no right-click option if you are playing with the Standard Rules and I don't thing you can use nuclear weapons with the Standard Rules.

Beyond that, if you are still having trouble I will need to know the name of the scenario you are playing.

Best wishes,
Steve

Tim,

I am going to assume that you are playing Third World War. If this is wrong please let me know.

Goto the view menu and select Theater Options.

Click the button on Request Nuclear Release so that it lights up.

The next turn you will be granted Nuclear Release. Look for the message in the news. At first you will only be allowed to make one nuclear attack per turn.

To make a nuclear attack, find an air unit that is nuclear capable. To do this, select an air unit and then right click on it. From the pop-up menu, select Show Unit Report and then left click on an aircraft to bring up its details. Look for the words May make nuclear attacks.

When you have found an air unit that is nuclear capable, make sure that unit is still selected, and then move the cursor over the target. If the cursor changes to a bombardment cursor then you are in range. Right click on the target and then select Nuclear Attack from the pop-up menu.

When you click the button to resolve all attacks, the nuclear attack will take place.

Be warned. If you initiate nuclear war then the enemy will also be granted nuclear release and will make nuclear attacks on your forces.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Best wishes,
Steve

Tim,

The scenario is awash with nuclear capable aircraft. Mig 23s,Mig 25s, Su 24s, Mig 27s, Su-17s, Mig 29s etc. for the Warsaw Pact snd F16s, Sea Harrier IIs, F18s, Jaguars,F111s, Phantom IIs, F15Es, etc. for NATO.

The only ways in which you would not be able to find a nuclear capable aircraft is if you did not look for them or your entire air force has been wiped out. If your air force has been wiped out then you will not be able to make nuclear attacks.

Best wishes,
Steve
